The concept of a corporate video for your website might seem new.
The concept of using a corporate video in your presentations might seem new.
Is Corporate Video Only For Big Budgets?
You’re probably thinking that a corporate video is only for companies with big budgets.
Yes, that’s true as they are very expensive, but we’ve worked hard with some creatives to make them affordable for the smallest of budgets. (BUT I don’t want to focus on that right now.)

Why You Should Use a Corporate Video
I want to show you WHY you should be using a corporate video to your advantage.
If a picture is worth a 1000 words, then one minute of video is worth 1.8 million!
Here’s an example of how a company improved conversions by 15% by just placing a corporate video on their pricing page! (Source: Wistia)
Did you know that video is now the most shared type of content on Twitter? Are you surprised?

So the question is not IF YOU SHOULD USE VIDEO, it’s rather…
‘WHERE AND HOW SHOULD YOU USE VIDEO’?
FOUR Big Benefits To Using Video:
- It grabs people’s attention and get’s them to stay longer on your site.
- It increases the time on the page which Google tracks and can improve your rankings. (They see people are enjoying your content and spend more time on your pages than competitors and assume you’re better!)
- It increases social sharing.
- It builds more trust.
I could labor the point all day, but if you haven’t got it now, I really recommend you read up about video and its massive growth.

Where To Use a Corporate Video To Gain MAXIMUM Advantage
As we’ve mentioned the question is not IF you should use video in your strategy, it’s rather HOW AND WHERE to use video.
There are many uses for video but I wanted to focus on just a few today.
A Few Important Factors To Deciding Where To Use Video
Firstly, on your homepage.
This is the page that people first see. I HIGHLY recommend using a 30s to 60s video to hold and grab people’s attention here.
Reason: improves time on site as well as user engagement and conversions as well as often improving search rankings.
Secondly, on your about page.
People want to know who they are dealing with. Often, before they interact with your company they want to know more about you. The best way to tell them about your company is through a video.
Thirdly, do you have a pricing page with different options?
A quick explainer video to help people choose the right package can drastically increase conversions and improve your sales. Having a video here makes it personal and can address any objections so they don’t leave your site.
Thirdly, on your thank you page.
It’s a great way of reaffirming people after they have taken an action and getting them to perform a subsequent action. It also builds trust and improves interaction.
Fourthly, on your FAQ page.
Everyone has similar questions. This is why we use a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page to address any of these concerns.
Having an FAQ page helps overcome objections and concerns and can improve your conversion rate.
Using a video here is far more engaging and can greatly improve your conversions.
Fifthly,
You need to build trust with your customers. Humans are like sheep. They like to flock together and hear if other people have been happy before they will try something out.
This is why a ‘Testimonials’ page is so important.
It MASSIVELY builds trust since people can read about other people’s experiences. Having video testimonials is SO POWERFUL, there’s nothing quite like it.
It’s a bit trickier to get but if you can it’s TOTALLY WORTH IT!
What Do People Love?
PEOPLE JUST LOVE VIDEOS. So give it to them!
Don’t Let Your Competitors RACE Ahead
With YouTube having 1 billion unique views per month (and the Earth’s population is only 6 to 7 billion) I really feel that you need to sit up and take notice of this trend towards video.
While you might not be ready to use it now, you can either let your competitors get ahead or you can take the plunge and be a leader in your industry.
Is Video Only For Some Industries?
VIDEO IS NOT JUST FOR THE LATEST TRENDY INDUSTRY. IT’S FOR EVERY NICHE.
Please read that again.
The question is how you can use video effectively in your niche and it takes a little creativity.

What Are The Consequences Of NOT Using Video?
Firstly, a lower user engagement. People only remember 20% of visual information, so you’re only at best going to get 20% of their attention.
Secondly, people will spend less time on your site. 75% of people will watch a video under 60s. Why not get them to hang around a little longer?
Thirdly, your rankings may suffer. Video helps rankings due to many factors. (I won’t go into the details now)
Fourthly, your competitors will catch up and use this tool and you will get left behind.
It’s IF You Should But How
As you can see it’s not a case of IF you should use video, it’s how you should use it.
I want you to start thinking about HOW YOU CAN USE VIDEO FOR YOUR SITE.
A Simple Way To Use Video To Your Advantage
I’ve been thinking about the use of video and the MASSIVE opportunity that it offers.
I think I’ve worked out why many companies haven’t used it yet.
Why Companies Miss Out On Video
It’s difficult to implement professionally.
Yes, you can have some smartphone video but is this really what you want to convey as your brand?
It might work for some underground viral marketing strategies, and low budget movies, but you’re a bit above that.
You also don’t want to create some video about your pet doing fancy tricks.

What You Need
Is something professional, and affordable.
I totally agree.
We’ve worked closely with a number of professional artists to bridge this gap between an affordable and professional video.
There are many different types of video but
To get you started I’d suggest some type of explainer video for your customers.
How does your solution solve some problems? What are the key features of your offering?
